Catherine Dumé (aka Amelia Arrows)
A writer, disability political scholar, and podcast producer whose work explores accessibility, culture, education, employment and citizenship. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto, where her research focused on the electoral participation of Canadians with disabilities. Catherine writes op-eds, personal essays, and investigative features that center lived experience and challenge systemic barriers. As co-founder of U-TAAC, she advocates for disability justice and community building on campus. Her work lives at the intersection of research, storytelling, and creative expression.
“At the core of everything I do is a belief in accessible, honest storytelling — the kind that sparks critical thought, affirms lived experience, and opens space for change. I bring intention, curiosity, and care to every story I tell, whether it’s written, spoken, or produced.”
